Experience TEK: The Next Generation in Patient Care

 
     
 

Experience TEK ® is an incredibly easy and efficient internet application catered to remote communication between medical practitioners and their patients.  It is an encrypted secure vault and server (like your internet banking) application with simple mechanisms to upload patient information including digital photographs, x-rays, and patient education slides. In addition you can upload written treatment letters, treatment plans, and treatment estimates. All of this data is “stored” in the Experience TEK ® secure vault and an automatic e-mail notification is sent to your patient that it is available for their review and comment. A polite e-mail notifies your patient that you have sent them some information. It also provides them with a “User Name” and “generated password” that will allow them to log on to the Experience TEK server. The patient can change the “generated password” to their own if they so choose. Simple “point and click” is all that is then needed to access the stored information, whether it be photographs, x-rays, treatment letter, or treatment plan estimates. We have found that using the tools in Photoshop, or “Imaging Software” to circle or point to the affected areas on the teeth where we are proposing treatment, is a very effective way to demonstrate need to the patient and their spouse. A treatment discussion about cosmetic changes, when accompanied with a digitally altered image, is always met with interest by both parties. Complicated vocabulary of treatment needs are many times misunderstood by patients and family. The Experience TEK application allows medical staff to send a simple, readily available, diagram or image about the proposed treatment along with a detailed discussion and estimate.  Saving the patient and medical staff time and money!

  Experience TEK provides the following features: Register
     
 
  • New users can register by choosing a package by clicking on the “Sign Up” icon located on the home page.
  • The basic registration package includes 75mb and the ability to Add, Edit and Delete an unlimited number of Patient's and Practice users.
  • The amount of disc space allocated to your practice account may be increased by 25mb increments.
  • The advanced registration package provides a gateway for Co-Branding the Experience TEK application. This will allow patients and practice users to take advantage of a seamless solution that is tailored to your specific brand! Choose a template, select a name for your practice and upload your logo. The co-branding feature is a one time charge and includes set-up.
 
   
  Payments  
     
 
  • All payments will be paid using a credit card and will be billed automatically to the card on a monthly basis unless cancelled by the practice admin.
    • The account holder has the option of canceling any additional 25mb orders above the default value, though canceling the 75 mb packages will result in account closure.
    • All new registrations will have a minimum 6-month agreement. Please contact the Experience TEK team regarding any requests for cancellations before the six month term is up.
  • Payment options are as follows:
    • Monthly
    • Half Yearly (and)
    • Yearly
  •   The Experience TEK application operates through an encrypted virtual private network. Every user, whether a practice administrator or patient has a personal login and password.
  • There is a password retrieval feature for all users - the password will be sent to the email address of the given user.
 
   
  The Practice Admin is for the practice account administrator. The following options apply for the Practice Admin:            
     
 
  • Add, Edit and Delete Practice users including: staff, referral doctors or specialists.
  • Add, Edit and Delete Patients with your desired details.
  • Add, Edit and Delete files with a specific description for each patient. Each patient is reserved up to 3 different file types of your choice.
  • Add, Edit and Delete Treatment Plans for the patients. The treatment plans can be entered in a text form or a structured file.
  • Search for Patients by their First or Last Names and view their details.
  • Allow other Doctors to view details of the patient records owned through the encrypted network through your Referral Offices section.
  • Ability to send messages to the patients to whom they have access rights and also to users of other practices.
  • Customize the “News” section to the homepage of the practice where other users and patients of the Practice can view it.
  • Share a patient record created with other doctors. Once a record is shared with another practice all users of that practice will have “view only” rights to the patient's record.
 
   
  Practice Users are defined by: staff, referral doctors or specialists that work in house or within the outsourced network of the given practice.                   
     
  The practice user features include all of the practice Admin, but are restricted from the ability to Add, Edit and Delete Users and from sharing patient information with other Doctors.    
     
  Patients are defined as the person who receives medical attention, care, or treatment in the practice. Patient's features are as follows:  
   
  Users are defined by: staff, referral doctors or specialists that work in house or within the outsourced network of the given practice.  
 
  • A login for a patient is created when the practice first creates a record for the patient.
  • It is the responsibility of the Practice account administrator to gather the e-mail information of their patient before creating a record for the patient.
  • A password is automatically generated and the login details are sent to the email address of the newly registered patient.
  • The patient can change the password after logging in.
  • The patient can view the image uploaded by the practice under “files” section along with the comments of their respective dentist.
  • Patients can view and respond to the messages to the practice users in the “Messages” section.
  • Patients can set their options to receive a copy of the message sent to them through the system to their email address. However, they need to respond through the Experience TEK application if a copy of their response needs to be stored in the system.
